About Us

Background

The seeds of Amity Foundation were sowed in early 2010 when a few friends conceived the idea of pooling resources together to save the rainy day. Two preparatory meetings were held at the Cozy Ridge Hotel in Mamfe, followed by a Constitutional Committee Meeting at the residence of Mr. Kwadwo Anim Ayeko, aka SUNSHINE, to deliberate on the constitution of the association. The first official meeting was held on 20th March 2010 at Cozy Ridge Hotel, the spiritual home of the group.

Incorporation

Amity Foundation was incorporated under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) on 16th April 2010 with Registration Number G-32,129; the liability of its members is limited by guarantee.

Official Inauguration

Amity Foundation was officially inaugurated on 26th December 2011, with the Interim Executives sworn in to begin their first 2-year term. In attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapem North District Assembly, Mr. George Opare Addo; the Mankrado of Mamfe, Nana Obeng Kumi II and Lawyer Francis Ampofo Bekoe (of blessed memory), who swore in the Executives.

To promote, nurture, and sustain the welfare and interests of members; development of the community and its environs. To create mutually beneficial relationships with other groups with similar interests and objectives.

Vision

To become the premier, exemplary, and most progressive social club in Ghana, create opportunities for members and society, and serve as a model, especially for the youth and other social groups.
